Buds hurt to use these days

Review Text:
Highly disappointed now. Used them for years, as they had a full cotton bud, but now they hurt so I might as well save money and buy cheap ones. As Johnson’s buds now are totally within the cheap quality range (without the cheap price clearly) Shareholders still win, customer looses. I bet no one at Johnson’s ever reads these reviews......

Bend!

Review Text:
I’ve not normally had a problem but the last two packs I’ve bought have all bent and not been able to use. Not happy with these at minute!

Great start to our enviromental cleanup.

Review Text:
These buds are excellent as they are plastic free. And Johnsons is a trusted name so you know they will be excellent quality. One thing though,,, the plastic lid on the box could do with being made out of card board like the container.

Great product

Review Text:
Stopped using Johnsons cotton buds because of the plastic sticks......so glad I can now go back to them as they have paper sticks. Always were a superior product to others on the market so am glad they are on the environmentally friendly bandwagon now........only downside is the plastic lid to the pot!!! Why can't this be cardboard too......I'm sure it was years ago when my children were little?!?!

Falling apart

Review Text:
I was in a surfing accident 8 years ago. I burst both of my ear drums and it is very important I keep them clean. I used to use Johnson ear buds as they where extra sturdy and wouldn't bend. The new ear buds bend so easily and I'm so paranoid I'll get a bit stuck in my ear :( So sad !

Paper Stalks: Great for the Environment, Useless to Use

Review Text:
We've been using Johnson's Cotton Buds for decades as they were always the best quality and offered a sturdy and safe to use cotton bud. Whilst I totally agree that disposing of little stalks of plastic is no good for the environment and totally applaud the concept of a recyclable paper based stalk, the design of these new buds is wholly flawed. They easily bend on use making them very unsafe to use. I hope that the design will be modified immediately as we simply cannot purchase these again in their current form.

AVOID -VERY INFERIOR - POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PRODUCT.

Review Text:
Bought a box of 200 buds. These are of much inferior quality to the previous type (now discontinued due to them having plastic stems (no problem with that). The new stems are not fit for purpose as they bend very easily and the cotton wool bud is thinner and easily detaches from the stem when used. I would certainly not purchase any more and will find the better named alternative. VERY DISAPPOINTING AND NOT RECOMMENDED.

Poor strength paper stems to cotton buds

Review Text:
I've always used the Johnson's cotton buds for ear cleaning; sadly the new paper-stemmed versions are next to useless, crumpling on use. No longer fit for purpose. Seeking alternatives.
